I just watched this Rachel Maddow segment on World Metrology Day. The Bureau of Weights and measurements celebrated its 135th birthday today. It's also the place where they keep the metal cylinder that is the international reference for the kilogram.



Rachel Maddow exclaimed: "Seriously, could there be a cooler job than Keeper of the Kilogram?"
